Our team is involved in the development of the RingCentral Cloud PBX service which lets us organize millions of audio VoIP calls for participants in different world regions.
The team is working on the Host Media Processing service: core media backend service for Telephony. Service is responsible for forwarding media between call participants, audio mixing, audio quality, network congestion control, DSP functions.
We are looking for an experienced quality assurance engineer with possible background in audio/video processing and networking backend services.
You are going to
Analyze requirements, develop testing strategy and design test cases;
Document defects, look for ways to reproduce and verify modifications;
Support the created product throughout the entire release cycle;
Deploy, update and maintain test environments;
Collaborate in an Agile team, contribute to improvement of development and testing processes;
Write automated tests for the media service: API testing and external integration to audio/video quality testing;
Participate in the development and support of the test framework;
Create and run automated tests, analyze the results of the run on different environments, engage in CI development.
Our expectations
2+ years of experience in backend testing;
Understanding the quality assurance process, awareness of testing processes and methodologies;
Functional and non-functional requirements competence;
Basic knowledge of TCP, UDP and HTTP;
Experience in Linux;
Experience in automating test scenarios on any programming language from 1 year;
English language level Intermediate and above.
Will be an advantage
Experience in VoIP (SIP, SDP);
Experience in WebRTC (SIP, SDP, RTP, RTCP);
Experience in network traffic analysis (Wireshark, tcpdump);
Experience in testing multimedia systems;
Experience in automating testing with Javascript/Typescript and NodeJS.
